Red Dead Redemption 2 is causing a lot of gamers to get extremely excited, even though it is a couple of months away. This excitement is normally channeled into digging for every possible clue that can be found and it looks like someone has succeeded.
Grand Theft Auto V is now allowing players to unlock a few promised items for the upcoming video game in advance by completing a series of tasks. GTA online has a few missions that are tied to the upcoming video game Red Dead Redemption 2. This was initially confirmed by the developers last year when it was found that completing a challenge could unlock an exclusive double-action revolver for Red Dead in advance. This was the first time a connection between the two was found and now eager gamers have spotted another. This process for this is pretty similar since you can only unlock it by participating in a treasure hunt that will then unlock the stone hatchet weapon. The challenge for unlocking this weapon is: players are given five random spots on the map, at which five different targets are located, that they have to either kill or capture. This particular challenge is handed down to the player by Maude Eccles. After you complete the mission of killing these targets, you then have to go to the sixth and final location, and there you are awarded by finding the axe hidden inside a chest.
After you are in possession of this weapon you can then move on to complete several challenges that will unlock itself on either the PS4 or Xbox One version of Red Dead.
Even though this weapon has been found in the code of the game by pretty dedicated gamers, it is still not actually live on GTA Online. This is also because Rockstar has not formally announced the tie-in mission, although they probably will soon enough, especially considering Red Dead is due to release on the 26th of October.
