Season 5 is officially available for Fortnite fanatics and there are quite a few changes in store. It has been a build up with countless assumptions, and finally questions are being answered.
One of the main changes that caught some attention today was the addition of the four person golf cart, which is officially the only real transportation available in the game. The only addition that even came close to this were the shopping carts that came with their own bag of tricks, so we are crossing our fingers this time hoping that no issues pop up. The golf cart does deserve a fair try though, since it can hold quite a few players, and also has some great features like acceleration. The roof also acts as a bouncing pad.
The second major change that has been introduced is that Fortnite is trying to make the graphics more interactive and give players a chance to bring the game to life even more than before. The rifts that we have seen countless times before on the map are now able to act as teleportation devices that take you to other areas featured on the map. This acts as a great new way to get around and definitely adds to the appeal, but it is also a risky way to go since you could land just about anywhere, so maybe it is best to stick with what we know.
The map itself has also seen some additions as well as having some locations being dumped. Moisty Mire is now a thing of the past with a desert area taking its place. There are locations within the desert, as well as other additions to the map so players are definitely going to take a while exploring the new map. Lazy Links and Paradise Palms are the two location additions that people are most looking forward to.
As always, a new season means a new battle pass and this one is taking some inspiration from history textbooks as well as the time component as speculated by many. Like season 4 there are 100 tiers for rewards that can be bought for $9.50 that unlocks the challenges. Overall, it is a great buy for diehard fans and you will also be able to complete challenges past the season 5 window which is a welcome change from last season.
